Galena Velikova is a Law School graduate, but her passion, dedication and great love for dance have also defined her professional career. In 1995 she become the Bulgarian vice championship in sports dance, while from 1996 to 2000 she won the Greek championship 5 times in a row also in sports dance. In addition to her personal successes as a dance athlete in Greece and abroad, she has also promoted many champions in various countries as a coach choreographer. Her top international recognition was the invitation from the biggest Sports Dance Training Camp around the world (Italy, Venice-Caorle 07.2012), to teach successful sports couples and deliver a seminar to over 450 couples who had entered the camp included among them pairs who have won world champion. Galena Velikova holds a judge card with international recognition from the official world dance organization WDSF (World Dance Sport Federation). Finally, she also receives academic recognition, as the holder of a PhD in Dance Therapy.
Galena Velikova’s professional career is expanding, among others, in the artistic, sports, educational and scientific fields. As a judge and artistic director in television productions and shows, both in Greece and internationally, she became known to the general public. She had the great honor of representing Greece as a judge on one of the world’s biggest TV shows “The World’s Best” in Los Angeles, USA, alongside big names such as Drew Barrymore and James Corden on America’s premier television channel CBS.

In recent years, Galena Velikova, who holds a PhD in Dance Therapy, has also become aware of the health sector. Through the correlation of Dance Therapy with positive results in diseases such as depression and Parkinson’s disease, many patients have benefited from the respective programmes. Galena Velicova presented the results of her research at the 37th and 50th UNESCO World Conferences, as well as at the event “Living with Parkinson’s Disease” organized by the Neurology Clinic of the General Hospital “G. Gennimatas” under the auspices and support of the Academy of Neurosciences.
In addition, he is the initiator and creator of the original model of Dance Therapy “Six sound and elements®”, which emphasizes the interaction of body, mind and soul. It is an approach that helps to develop creativity, spontaneity, freedom of emotions and improve the quality of life.
Galena’s dream to pass on her love for dance to the world, leads her to continuous development and improvement, so that the dance schools “Galena’s Dance Studios” are now the standard for teaching dance on the right basis and at a high level in Greece and Cyprus. The innovative programs offered, such as Kindy Bit®, Six sound and elements® and Total Body & Mind Shape® TBMS, help everyone to experience the enjoyable and transformative magic of dance.
